Tournament will cap off co-ed league on Sunday

    With the regular season now behind them, five teams in the Imperial co-ed softball league will play their tournament this Sunday.
    Games begin at 12 noon in the double-elimination tournament at Schroeder Park.
    Beverage Barn, who enters the tourney with an undefeated 7-0 record, earned the top seed and received a first-round bye.
    Team Blue and Yellow Jackets play the tournament’s first game at 12 noon, with Easy Money and BYOB meeting at 1 p.m. Beverage Barn will play the Team Blue/Yellow Jackets winner at 2 p.m.
    The tournament continues throughout the day with games on the hour until the 7 p.m. championship game. If necessary, an 8 p.m. game is on the schedule.
    The tournament champion will receive $175 in winnings, second earns $125 and $50 will go to third place.
    Here are the team records heading into Sunday’s tournament:
    Beverage Barn 7-0
    Easy Money 6-2
    BYOB 4-3
    Team Blue 2-6
    Yellow Jackets 0-8
    Two teams played only seven games versus eight because their rainout games were unable to be rescheduled, said league coordinator Jen Stafford.
