Three Longhorns place at Chadron meet

With just five wrestlers competing, the Chase County Longhorns finished 11th in the 21-team field at the Chadron Invitational last Friday and Saturday.
Coach Matt Vlasin said the Chadron meet is by far the largest meet of the season and definitely one of the most competitive.
Like many of the other Longhorn teams last week, the flu bug kept some players from participating. Travis Rowley was one of the wrestlers who missed the meet.
Vlasin said he was happy with how everyone wrestled. But for Alex Gomez at 120, it was the breakout meet Vlasin was waiting for him to have.
