In the competition, youths pitch a ball for accuracy, hit for distance and run for time, with combined score determining winners. Local trophy winners include, front from left, Conner Stromberger, third place boys 7-8; Destry Oxford, second place boys 7-8; Tyce Hammerlun, first place boys 7-8; Tell Richardson, second place boys 13-14; back from left, Camron Lempke, first place boys 9-10; Traven Richardson, second place boys 9-10; Tyrel Richardson, first place boys 11-12; Jaret Peterson, second place boys 11-12; Tysen Lempke, first place boys 13-14; and Morgan Peterson, first place girls 13-14. Morgan Peterson won the 13-14 girls’ division, Jaret Peterson won the 11-12 boys’ division and Destry Oxford took first in the 7-8 boys’ division. All three youths are now waiting to see if their scores on Sunday were high enough to qualify them for the Team Championship at Coors Field. (Courtesy photo)
