Special Olympics bowlers finish season

Five members of the Chase County Special Olympics team competed in Ogallala Saturday during regional bowling.
Ryan Leibhart, Dustin Holmes and Eddie Lopez each took first place in their categories.
Samantha Oxford and Nathanael Rau took second place in their divisions.
The team will compete in state bowling in Lincoln next spring. The team began as a unified team in 2013, and was nonschool related. Unified means that a Special Olympics bowlers is paired with a student or adult to bowl together.
