Shorthorns drop football opener at N.P. St. Pat’s

Despite holding North Platte St. Pat’s to no second half scoring, Chase County’s junior high football team came up short in last Thursday’s season opener on the road, 16-28.
Chase County scored one TD in the first quarter, and another in the fourth, but it wasn’t enough to make up for the 28 first half points put up by St. Pat’s.
Easton Fries and Jaret Peterson were credited with the Shorthorn touchdowns.
Jensen Olsen caught both passes from Cooper Dillan in the two-point plays after the TDs.
This week, the Shorthorns travel again, and will play Hershey today (Thursday) with kickoff at 5 p.m. MT.
The rest of the season schedule 9 (times listed are MT):
    Sept. 24—at home vs. Ogallala, 5:30 p.m.
    Oct. 3—at home vs. NP St. Pat’s, 5:30 p.m.
    Oct. 10—away vs. So. Valley, 3:30 p.m.
