Rainy day fun-damentals

The rain may have caused more students to show up for basketball camp at Chase County Schools on Monday. From 8 to 11 a.m., fourth through sixth graders crowded the Longhorn gym for “fun and fundamentals,” put on by local coaches and high school players. From 1 to 4 p.m., junior high students had their turn. Longhorn head boys’ basketball coach Chris Bartels said they had 36 middle school players show up for the morning session and 20 for junior high. At top, Braden Space shows junior high players ball-handling drills. Second, Bartels instructs middle school players on what drill to do next.
