PeeWees finish regular season games

The Tri-County Youth PeeWee League tournament will be held in Grant this week.
Finishing off the last week of regular season play, Imperial 1 picked up a win at Hershey, Imperial 2 picked beat Wallace and Imperial 3 fell to Ogallala 3.
“(Wallace was a) great win going into our tournament,” Imperial 2 Head Coach Jeff Lempke said. “I’m so proud of these kids on a 8-2 regular season and look forward to see how well we compete in our tournament.”
On Friday, Imperial 1 beat Imperial 3, 19-1. Both teams decided to keep going after the run-rule.
During that game, Easton Fries hit an in-the-park grand slam, scoring himself and three teammates.
Tournament
The tournament started July 9 and will go until Saturday. Held in Grant, all three Imperial teams are competing in the tournament.
Imperial 1 holds the No. 5 seed with a 5-5 record, while Imperial 2 holds the No. 3 seed and Imperial 3 has the No. 9 seed.
Imperial 3 played Wallace on Wednesday night. The winner of that game will play Ogallala 1, the No. 1 seed, tonight (Thursday) at 7 p.m. MT.
Imperial 1 will play No. 4 Hershey tonight at 5 p.m. MT. Imperial 1 Coach Sandy O’Neil said the boys beat Hershey last week and is excited to play them again.
“We just gotta keep our heads on and go in, ready to play,” O’Neil said.
Imperial 2 played No. 6 Ogallala 2 Wednesday night.
