Ogallala team takes championship honors at Senior 2-Man Scramble

    Ogallala’s Gary Schreiner and Bob Murphy took top honors at the Senior 2-Man Scramble by four strokes over Dave Engel and Randy Styskal July 23.
    Schreiner and Murphy shot the tournament low in both rounds and finished with a 63. Engel and Styskal’s score of 67 was one better than third place finishers John Johnston and Brad Cochran
    The scramble drew a field of 26 teams.
    Results of the tournament are as follows:
Championship Flight—1. Gary Schreiner, Bob Murphey, 31-32=63; 2. Dave Engel, Randy Styskal, 34-33=67; 3. John Johnston, Brad Cochran, 34-34=68.
First Flight—1. Leon Green, Jeff Beck, 36-32=68; 2. John Long, Don Hamm, 36-35=71; 3T. Dean Severin, Mike Anderson, 36-36=72; Rich Bernt, Chris Nix, 37-35=72.
Second Flight—1. Dave Johnson, Rich Hielshen, 39-39=78; 2T. Craig Poppe, Max McGarr, 39-40=79; Merrell Maris, Steve Haskins, 39-40=79; Kerry Denker, Harold Nordhausen, 41-38=79; Larry Kuntz, Dave Clarkson, 41-38=79.
