Officials move holiday tournament to Friday, Saturday

    With a big storm forecast to hit much of Nebraska and Wyoming, Sidney High School officials decided to make changes Wednesday morning to the Cabela’s Holiday Shootout Basketball Tournament.  
    The tournament was to kick off Thursday, with additional games Friday and Saturday in Sidney. Now, it will be held only on Friday and Saturday.    
    Sidney High School A.D. Mike Brockhaus emailed schools Wednesday, informing them the new tournament  plan will follow this schedule:
    Two four-team tournaments will now be conducted, much like
Sidney did a few years ago. They have split the bracket in half and the top half will play in the high school and the bottom half will play in the middle school.  
    Everyone will still have the same game times on Friday for the first round, he said, and all eight schools will get two games instead of three.
