Longhorns win final regular season game

The Longhorns’ final game of the regular season was at home last Friday against Sutherland.
While it was close at times, Chase County pulled it out, beating the Sailors 57-45.
While the game was expected to be an easy win for the Longhorns, Head Coach Chris Bartels said they were not looking ahead of the Sutherland game.
“It’s kind of easy to look ahead and not focus much on that game,” he said.
“We didn’t talk about Cozad or subdistricts and kept our eyes that week on Sutherland,” Bartels said. “They needed to win that game for a lot of reasons,” mostly for power points for districts.
