Longhorns seeded first in SPVA tourney

The Chase County Longhorns just finished a long week of games leading up to this week’s SPVA Conference tournament, in which they are top-seeded.
Despite some tough opponents last week, the Longhorns pulled out a three-game winning streak against Southern Valley, Perkins County and Gothenburg.
The Longhorns are now sitting 10-2 on the season as they anticipate their first tournament game tonight (Thursday).
Head Coach Chris Bartels said it was the Southern Valley game that gave them enough points to sneak past Bridgeport to claim the No. 1 seed in the SPVA tournament, closing it by only 0.4 points.
