Longhorns get No. 1 seed in sub-districts

The Longhorns secured the No. 1 seed in the C1-11 subdistrict tournament with a win against Cambridge Saturday.
After their home win, the Longhorns are currently 15-3 on the season, with their only losses to Ogallala, North Platte St. Pat’s and Bridgeport.
Chase County has one last regular season game at Sutherland this Friday, with the JV game starting at 5 p.m.
The subdistrict tournament will be held at Brady High School. The Longhorns’ first game will be against No. 4 Cozad Feb. 25 with a tip-off time of 5 p.m. CT.
On Tuesday, Chase County was sitting No. 3 in Class C1 wildcard points behind Adams Central and Auburn.
Even if things don’t go as expected in the subdistricts, the Longhorns have enough wildcard points to move them ahead to the district final.
