Longhorn Softball Team wins first game of season

    It has been a long, hard road  for the CCS Softball Team after completing the 2024 season 0-26. That streak came to an end Tuesday, Sept. 2, in the very first game of the season, as the Horns beat Holyoke in the season opener 15-14.
    The Dragons of Holyoke bounced back in the second game of the double-header, handing the Longhorns a 4-20 loss.
    The Longhorns traveled to Southern Valley/Alma for a double-header on Thursday, Sept. 4. The Longhorn bats were quiet, losing both games in the third inning by the 14 run rule, 1-16 and 0-14.
    The Longhorns played on the home field Tuesday, Sept. 9 in a double-header with Wray and Yuma. Results will be in next weeks addition of The Imperial Republican.
