Longhorn boys drop first two games

    The Longhorns started the 2025-26 basketball season, dropping the first two games to two very good teams.
    On Thursday, the Horns traveled to Cozad for a game against the Haymakers. Cozad was able to outscore the Horns in all four quarters of the game, winning 39-84.

    Friday night, the Horns played host to class B McCook. The Horns started off slugish in the first half, but made a good run at the Bison in the second half.
    The Bison built a 21-41 lead by halftime. In the second half, the Longhorns outscored the Bison by six but that wasn’t enough to get the win, falling 52-66.
