JV volleyball team finishes week with 1-2 showing
Despite a 1-2 record in volleyball matches last week, the Chase County JVs still maintain a record above .500.
As the team entered competition this week, they held a 5-4 record.
Chase County hosted a triangular Sept. 26 with Perkins Co. and Gothenburg. However, Perkins Co. did not field a JV team.
The Lady Longhorn JVs lost in three games to Gothenburg, 13-25, 11-25 and 26-28.
Last Thursday, the team traveled to Sutherland, where they also played Maxwell in a JV triangular, finishing 1-1.
The Lady Longhorns captured the win against Sutherland in three, 25-20, 18-25 and 15-7.
Against Maxwell, Chase County lost in three, 25-16, 16-25 and 7-15.
No other stats were available from last week’s JV games.
This week, the team will be in Grant to face Perkins Co. tonight (Thursday) with the JV match at 5:30 p.m.
On Monday, a 9-10 team from Chase County will compete in a quadrangular at No. Platte St. Pat’s that also includes McCook and Sutherland and has a 3 p.m. MT start time.
On Tuesday, the Lady Longhorns will be back on the home court to face Kimball with games starting at 5 p.m.
