JV girls earn three wins

    Three consecutive wins were strung together by Chase County’s JV volleyball team last week.
    The team racked up wins against Sidney, Dundy Co. Stratton (DCS) and St. Francis, Kansas.
    It took three games Sept. 24, but Chase County defeated Class B Sidney, 18-25, 25-7 and 25-8.
    The Lady Longhorn JVs had their best night of the week on offense against Sidney, racking up a .209 hitting efficiency, led by Chloe Dillan and Lucy Spady, who each scored six kills.
    At the line, the team served 52-59 for 88%. Dillan had three of the team’s seven aces.
    Jerzee Milner had 18 set assists, as Hope Brosius picked up 12 digs to lead the team.
Triangular
    The JVs were in Benkelman last Thursday for a triangular that also included St. Francis, Kansas.
    Chase County won both matches in straight sets.
    Scores against the hosts from DCS  were 25-20 and 25-13.
    The team racked up nine kills, led by Sydney Schilke, who had three. Chase County finished with a .048 hitting efficiency.
    On serves, the JVs performed at 86.5% (32-37). Jordan Jablonski scored two of the team’s five aces.
    Liz Reeves had seven set assists, while Chloe Dillan and Ali McNair both were credited with three digs.
    It was also two straight against St. Francis, 25-17 and 25-18.
    Chase County tallied 19 kills led by Kamrie Dillan with six and Kaylie Lotspeich with five. The team finished with a .074 hitting efficiency.
    Their 88.6% serving was the best of the week (39-44). It was a big night for ace serves as Chase County scored 13, led by Liz Reeves with seven. She also had 16 set assists.
