JV girls drop games in weekend play

    After opening with a pair of wins, Chase County’s JV girls lost a pair of games in their second weekend of action.
    The JV record stands at 2-2 after losses to Sidney and Ogallala.
    On the road to Sidney Friday, the two teams were knotted at the ends of both the first and second quarters, before Sidney put up 21 points of offense in the third and another 18 in the fourth.
    Chase County had trouble recovering in the 29-59 loss.
    Scoring for the Lady Longhorn JVs were Giselle Acuna 8, Morgan Peterson 7, Jerzee Milner 4, Liz Reeves 4, and Hope Brosius 6.

    Back on the home court Saturday, the Chase County JVs suffered a 33-47 loss to Ogallala.
    Scoring for Chase County was Gisselle Acuna 10, Kora Weiss 6, Morgan Peterson 5, Liz Reeves 5, Lucy Spady 4, Kambree Meeske 2 and Jerzee Milner 1.

    The JVs will be idle until Jan. 7 when they travel to Dundy Co. Stratton.
C girls pick up first win
    In their first game of the season, the girls’ C team defeated Dundy Co. Stratton 29-18 on Dec. 9 in Benkelman.
    Scoring for Chase County were Gisselle Acuna 10, Liz Reeves 6, Hope Brosius 5, Kambree Meeske 4, Lucy Spady 2 and Ali McNair 2.
