Josie Peterson moves into record books with college pole vault effort

    Josie Peterson has vaulted her way into the record books at Hastings College with an 11’9” indoor pole vault mark she set last Friday.
    Not only did her personal best vault win the Prairie Wolf Invitational event  at Nebraska Wesleyan that day, she also moved into the No. 4 spot on the Hastings College Indoor Pole Vault Top 10 List, said Hasting Track & Field Coach Ryan Mahoney.
    The 11’9” vault also bypassed the qualifying mark for the indoor nationals set for Feb. 28 to March 2 a South Dakota State University in Brookings.
    Her personal best prior to Friday was 11’2.5” set the previous week.
