Imperial ball games starting this week

Now that school’s out and summer is just around the corner, Imperial’s youth baseball and softball programs are getting into full swing this week.
“We’re looking forward to warming weather to feel like baseball/softball season,” organizer Ryan Wisnieski said.
There are “about 150 kids” participating in the four different levels of baseball and softball this year.
“Carl Zuege is also doing field work again,” Wisnieski said.
In addition to the teams below, Imperial also has a Legion junior and senior team, which started games last weekend. Their schedule is coordinated by Coach Bruce Peterson.
The younger team levels and coaches include:
T-ball girls—Jennifer Stafford
T-ball boys—Dustin Weiss
Pony girls, two teams—Brad Foote and Tiffany Reeves
Pony boys, three teams—Eric McDaniel, Dustin Harris and Henry Shaddock
Junior girls—Emma Degrasse
Peewee boys, three teams—Ryan Brown, Jeff Lempke and Philip Pankonin
