Imperial 2 defeats Imperial 3 in no-hitter

Two Imperial Pee Wee teams faced each other on the baseball field Friday, when Imperial 2 played Imperial 3.
Imperial 2 came away with the win, 15-2.
In the first inning, Imperial 2’s Camron Lempke, Tristan Jablonski and Thomas Reeves all reached base. Kaden Vogt doubled to get Lempke, Jablonski and Reeves home safe.
In the fourth inning, Imperial 2 earned another seven runs, led by Jablonski, Reeves and George Colton.
Vogt was the starting pitcher for Imperial 2. During his time on the mound, he surrendered one run on no hits over two innings and struck out four.
Gavin Wisnieski recorded the last six outs to finish the game.
Carson Terryberry led the batting for Imperial 2, going 2-3 at the plate.
“I thought the boys did a great job for the first game of the year,” head coach Jeff Lempke said. “It’s going to be an exciting ball season for our team.”
Imperial 2 played Ogallala 3 at home on Wednesday and will travel to play Ogallala 2 on Friday.
Imperial 3 played Ogallala 2 there on Wednesday and will play Ogallala 1, also away, on Friday.
