Husker golfers finish fifth in Big 10 meet

Nebraska’s men’s golf team made history, placing fifth out of 14 teams at the 2019 Big Ten Championships. First-year Head Coach Mark Hankins and his team also finished fourth at the Big Ten Match Play Championships in February, another school record.
Redshirt junior and Laurel, Nebraska native, Mitch Klooz carded a 75 on the final day to tie for 31st. Klooz in the son of Randy and Lori Klooz of Imperial.
He led the Huskers after the opening day, shooting a 72 to which put him in a tie for 15th.
That round was followed by a 78 and his 75 in the final round.
