Hudl camera installed in CCS gym now active

Chase County Schools (CCS) is now the owner of a state-of-the-art video camera, placed in the Longhorn gym.
The camera, called Hudl Focus, is made by Hudl, a software company that “offers tools to edit and share video, interact with stats and create quality highlight reels for entertainment and recruiting purposes. The whole experience is available online, giving coaches and athletes secure access at home and on the go.”
Hudl Focus is controlled by a smartphone app.
“Think of the Hudl Focus app as your camera’s remote control,” their website said.
There are currently six million users of Hudl Focus.
The camera and installation at CCS were paid for by Allo.
“A technician from Ogallala came and put up the whole thing,” CCS Activities Director Troy Hauxwell said.
The camera is installed on the visitor side of the Longhorn gym. There are three cameras within the Hudl Focus, which is about 10 inches wide. The camera is able to track where the basketball or volleyball is on the court.
“We’re still figuring it all out,” Hauxwell said.
