High fives all around for track teams

Chase County had a lot to celebrate at the C-11 District Track Meet last Thursday in Mitchell. Not only did both boys’ and girls’ teams win district championships, the Longhorns are taking 21 athletes to Omaha Burke for the high school state meet Friday and Saturday. The Lady Longhorn 3200 meter relay team, above, had a lot to high five about with the race championship, a new school record and the fastest time heading into the state meet.
