First games of 2020 productive for JV girls

    So far, 2020 has been good to the Chase County JV girls’ basketball team.
    In a busy opening week of the new year, the JVs won three straight games over Dundy Co. Stratton Jan. 7, Wray, Colorado last Thursday and Kimball on Saturday.
    Last week’s JV wins lifted the Chase County record to 6-2 as the team readied for three more games on the schedule this week.
    After playing So. Valley Tuesday, the JVs will be in Grant today (Thursday) for a 5 p.m. contest, then host Gothenburg Friday when JV tip-off is set for 4 p.m.
DCS game
    On the road to Benkelman Jan. 7, the JVs won a 21-14 two-quarter game.
    Scoring for Chase County were Giselle Acuna 7, Morgan Peterson 4, Lucy Spady 4, Jerzee Milner 2, Kambree Meeske 2 and Ali McNair 2.
