Coach Dan Lenners said 35 players checked out equipment for this year’s football season. Practices began at 6 a.m. Monday morning and ran until 8:30 a.m. Lenners said that schedule will continue through next week. He said they will also have special team drills during several evenings this week. He said rules require at least six hours of rest between practices if more than one practice per day is held.
