CSO all-star wins go to both East teams

The East team prevailed in both the girls and boys all-star games in Cambridge Friday night, sponsored by the Cambridge School Organization (CSO).
The East girls took a lopsided 73-40 win in the opener, while the East boys squeezed out a 72-67 victory in the nightcap.
Chase County sent two graduated seniors to the game, Lauren Gockley and Jack Bauerle, both playing on the West teams.
Gockley dropped in nine points in the girls’ game, and was second leading scorer for her team behind B. Honn who scored 10. Gockley hit a pair of field goals, a three-pointer and was 2-2 at the line.
Bauerle added two points for the West boys as he went 2-2 at the charity stripe.
Among the four MVPs selected in the game was Perkins County’s Charles Johnson. He scored 21 points for the West in the close boys’ game.
