Colorado duo wins annual catfish tournament

Houston McConnell of Holyoke, Colorado and Shayne Perry of Greeley, Colorado took first place at the Isaac Walton’s annual catfish tournament at Enders Lake May 18.
Of the five fish caught, McConnell and Perry’s catch weighed 27 pounds.
They also caught the biggest catfish, which weighed in at 10 pounds 1 oz.
Organizer Tom Elder said the 10 pounder was the most exciting part of the day.
“It was almost double the size of anything else,” he said.
Second place went to Robert and James Mosely of Elwood, with five fish weighing 24 pounds.
Arlo and Levi Tropf of Imperial took third with their catch coming in at 20 pounds.
