Class C state golf goes to one-day tournament

    Due to the rain Tuesday, the Nebraska Schools Activities Association cancelled the first day of the Class C golf tournament in Kearney.
    Chase County senior Karsen Klooz was among those who qualified individually for the meet at Meadowlark Hills Golf Course in Kearney.
    First round competition in Classes A, B and D was also cancelled.
    As a result of the cancellation, the tournament will be an 18-hole only event.
