Chase County volleyball finishes regular season

    For the third time this season, Chase County defeated Hershey in varsity volleyball action.
    That latest victory Oct. 22 concluded the Lady Longhorns’ regular season, and continued a streak of 14 straight match wins without losing a set.
    Last Tuesday’s win pushed the Chase County record to 22-7 as it entered the C1-11 subdistrict tournament this week.
    Chase County took the varsity match in fairly easy wins, 25-11, 25-15 and 25-12.
    The Lady Longhorns had a good night on offense, compiling a .220 hitting efficiency coming on 29 kills.
    Leading hitters were Mallie McNair with 11 kills, and Alexis Richmond and Ashley Bubak with five each. Sophie Spady’s 27 set assists helped the offensive effort.
