Chase County Schools Cross Country teams first and second at Cambridge

    The CCS Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams traveled to Cambridge on Friday, Sept. 5 for the Cambridge Invite. The girls brought home the Championship, while the boys had to settle for second.
    The top five girls for Chase County all finished in the top 10, giving the Longhorns the win by 19 points.
    The boys ran without the services of top runner Haven Hauxwell, finishing nine points out of first.
    Addison Hauxwell took first place for the girls, followed by Tessa Smith in 6th, Alayna Smith 7th, Ashlyn Heermann 9th, Liz Hanna 10th, Paige Nickless 16th, Kate Colson 18th, and Zoey Kelley 22nd.
    For the boys, top finisher was Bryce Mandeville, finishing 4th, Spencer Kelley 6th, Brandon Chavira Sanchez 14th, Hayden Worth 22nd, Camden Kunnemann 26th, Kris Burke 47th, and Ethan Hanna 50th.
