Chase County School qualifiers from the B-6 District

    Tuesday, May 13, the CCS track teams competed in the B-6 District Track Meet in Ogallala. Several athletes qualified for the State Meet in Omaha May 23-24.
    Both the boys and girls team won the B-6 District Championship. The boys held off Gothenburg, who took second 106 to 96. The girls topped second place McCook 105 to 100, to take the title.
    The top three places qualify, plus the next six fastest marks in the individual events. In the relays it is the top two teams plus the next four fastest times that will qualify.
    In the pole vault and high jump, there is an automatic qualifying height. For the boys it is 13’ 6” in pole vault and 6’ 1” in high jump. For the girls it is 10’ 8” and 5’ 1”.
Boys qualified
    Noah Rau, 1st in the discus with a new District record throw of 198’ 10”. 1st in the shot put with a personal best throw of 54’.
    Camron Lempke, 3rd in the 400 meter dash, running 51.29.
    Haven Hauxwell, 2nd in the 3200 meter run with a time of 10:21.42.
    Tate Hubbard, 2nd in the pole vault, clearing 14’.
    Spencer Kelley, 3rd in the pole vault clearing 13’ 6”.
    James Bomba, 3rd in the high jump clearing 6’ 1”.
    Lukas Fries, 4th in the high jump clearing 6’ 1”.
    Kole Clevenger, 3rd in long jump going 22’ 9.5”.
    4x800 relay, 2nd (Haven Hauxwell, Brextin Moreno, Krayton Paisley, Tristan Jablonski) 8:13.38.
    Tristan Jablonski, 3rd in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:00.03.
Girls qualified
    Alayn Smith, 2nd in 3200 meter run, 12:55.38
    Hayley Rusher, 2nd in pole vault clearing 10’ 2”, 3rd in 200 meter dash with a time of 25.77.
    Adelle Eskew, 3rd long jump, going 16’ 8.25”.
    4x800 meter relay, 2nd,(Miranda Spady, Landree McNair, Elizabeth Hanna, Emily Randall) 9:40.72.
    Riley Rusher, 3rd in the 100 meter dash in 12.53, 1st in 200 meter dash with a time of 25.53.
    Emily Randall, 1st in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:21.51.
    4x100 relay, 1st (Ava McNair, Riley Rusher, Adelle Eskew, Hayley Rusher) 49.80.
More chances:
    This is just a list of automatic qualifiers, but there may be several more entries from people who make it in by having fast enough or high enough marks to make it in on the extra qualifiers.
