Chase County boys start season 1-1

Longhorn Head Coach Chris Bartels feels the Longhorns have created their identity after the first couple of games.
“If you would ask any of the coaches what our strength is going to be, I think everyone would have said offense,” he said.
“Turned out defense is going to be our strength this year. If we keep getting better at offense, really good things are going to happen.
“Once this team catches their groove offensively, they’re going to be a very tough team to beat,” he added.
Bartels feels confident about the chemistry between the players.
“All these kids have played together now for two years,” he said. “Even Kobe (Clevenger) and Bennett (Bauerle) coming off the bench.”
