CCS Track wins conference titles

Both the boys and girls for Chase County, dominated in the SPVA conference track meet held in Grant on Friday, May 1.
The girls took the championship over second place Perkins County by 112 points, while the boys bested second place Hershey by 67.
The girls won eight events on the day In the 800 meter run, Chase County filled the top three spots. The Lady Longhorns also won all three relays and finished first second and fourth in pole vault. They won the 200 meter run, 1600 meter run and the 100 meter hurdles.
The boys won six events, including the 100 and 300 meter hurdles, the 4x400 and 4x800 relays, the pole vault and Noah Rau broke his discus record on his first throw, going 219’ 6”.
