CCS Track Teams first at Ogallala Meet

    Both Chase County Track Teams took first place Monday, April 7, at the Ed Moore Invite in Ogallala. The meet, which was scheduled for Saturday, April 5, was moved back two days due to inclement weather.
    The boys team won by 17.5 points over second place Gothenburg, helped in part by first place finishes in the shot put and discus, by Noah Rau and first in the long and triple jump by Kole Clevenger.
    The boys 4x400 relay team, (Kole Clevenger, Tristan Jablonski, Thomas Reeves and Camron Lempke), also took first place. The 4x100 did not record a time due to another DQ. The boys also had several boys score in multiple events to secure the win.
    The girls team took the win comfortably by 61 points, fueled by three first place finishes, two from Riley Rusher in the 100 and 200 and the 4x100 relay, (Ava McNair, Riley Rusher, Adelle Eskew and Hayley Rusher).
    The 4x400 and 4x800 both came in second place behind Ogallala and Sidney respectively.
    In the 100 meter dash, Chase County was first, third and seventh, while in the 200 meter dash, the Longhorns swept first, second and third. Full meet results are listed below.
