CCS Softball drops games to Gering, Chadron

    The Lady Longhorns Softball Team traveled to Gering for games with Gering and Bayard on Tuesday, Sept. 16.
    The team is still stuggling with getting the offense going and dropped the opening game against Gering (12-5) in just two and a half innings, losing 17-0.
    Gering scored 12 in the first and tacked on five more in the second to take the win.
    The game with Bayard was not played due to weather.
    On Thursday, Sept. 19, the Horns welcomed Chadron to town for an afternoon double-header. Chadron came to town with a 6-7 record.
    The Horns couldn’t get the bats working and fell in both games, 0-13 and 0-15.
    The Horns will travel to Cozad on Sept. 23, to play the Haymakers (10-9).
