CCS golf team showing improvement

Longhorns Golf Coach Jeff Gleisberg said he sees his players improving as the season progresses.
“They have definitely gotten better,” he noted. Scores are improving on a weekly basis.
He said the goal he’s set for his players is to focus on consistency.
He said they are stringing together bogeys and pars but then put up a big number on a hole that hurts their score.
So far, junior Austin Laird has led the way for the team thus far.
At Garden County’s invite at Oshkosh last week, Laird finished with a 99.
He bettered that by a stroke Friday on a tough Iron Eagle course in North Platte at the SPVA meet.
This week, the varsity will travel to Kimball for their invitational.
