CCS girls wrestle in Hemingford, Chadron

    Friday, Jan. 23, the Lady Longhorn Wrestlers traveled to the Hemingford Invite. All five of the Longhorn wrestlers placed in the top four of their weight class.
    Paige Owens was first place at 130 lbs. and Hayley Rusher won the 155 pound bracket. Zoey Kelley finished second at 115 and Eva Ochoa Camacho and Avery Cyboron placed fourth at 125 and 130 respectively.
    As a team, the Longhorns finished sixth out of the fifteen team field.

Chadron Invitational
    On Saturday, Jan. 24, the girls traveled to Chadron  and finished in a tie for 11th out of  the 21 team field.
    Haley Rusher kept her undefeated season alive, pinning her way through the 145 pound weight class. Avery Cyboron finished fifth at 130 pounds, while Paige Owens suffered an injury in the semi finals of the 125 pound class that dropped her to a sixth place finish.
