CCS boys wrestling has busy week

On Thursday afternoon, the boys wrestling team traveled to Culbertson for the Hitchcock County Quad. With dwindled numbers due to injuries, the Longhorns dropped all three duals.
Dual results
1st dual: CCS 21-HC 48; Suth. 30-Camb. 48.
2nd dual: Camb. 47-CCS 27; Suth. 30-HC 36.
3rd dual: CCS 24-Suth 40; Camb. 42-HC 32.
Cambridge went 3-0; Hitchcock Co. 2-1; Sutherland 1-2 and CCS 0-3.

Chadron duals
Friday, Jan 23, the boys traveled to Chadron for the Chadron Duals. 10 teams competed in the duals, with two seperate brackets. At the end of the day, the top team in bracket one faced the top team in bracket two and so-on.
Chase County was in bracket two along with; Valentine, Central, Scottsbluff and Valley. Teams in bracket one were: Natrona County, Bridgeport, Mitchell, Ogallala and Chadron.
The Longhorns finished the day in ninth place, beating Ogallala in the final dual of the day. Every Longhorn wrestler that had a match in the final dual against Ogallala won by pinfall, winning the dual 42-24.

Chadron Invitational
The boys had two runner-up finishers and a fifth place at the Chadron Invite on Saturday, Jan. 24.
Dylan Miscles and Conner Einspahr both made it to the finals in their respective weight classes, but came up one match short of the championship. Tatum May also brought home some hardware, finishing in fifth place at 126.
The team finished 10th out of the 27 team field. Considering the team only had seven wrestlers competing, that was a pretty good finish.
