CCS boys have three B-Ball games

    The CCS basketball teams had a busy week. In the first two games of the week, Tuesday and Thursday, Jan 13 and 15, the boys were on the road.
    On Tuesday, the Longhorns traveled to Oxford for games with the Southern Valley Eagles, (4-9). The Longhorns took control of the game from the start and never let up.
    In the first and second period, the Horns out-scored the Eagles 17-5 in each quarter, to lead 34-10 at half. It was more of the same in the second half, with the Longhorns taking the win 68-35.
    Thursday, Jan. 15, the Longhorns traveled north to Grant to play Perkins County, (5-6). The score was very close in the rivalry game, with CCS holding on for the win, 59-56 and taking their record to 6-7.
    The Gothenburg game scheduled for Friday night was postponed due to high winds and will be rescheduled at a later date. That brings the Longhorns to the start of the SPVA Tournament on Tuesday, Jan. 20.
