Broncos fall in homecoming game 20-60

    Friday night’s Homecoming game wasn’t the result the W/P students were hoping for. The Wallace Wildcats came to town and upset the Broncos Homecoming.
    In the first quarter, it looked like the Broncos were going to be able to stick with the Wildcats. Wallace scored first on a 42 yard run but missed the extra point kick.
    W/P came back with a seven yard touch down run from Kreyton Wiese, who also added the kick to take the lead 7-6. That would be the only time the Bronco’s would lead the game.
    On the following kickoff, the Wildcats ran it back 79 yards for a score. Once again the kick was no good, giving the Wildcats the lead 7-12. Still in the first quarter, Wallace scored on a 32 yard run. The two point conversion was good and they led 7-20.
    It was a high scoring second quarter with the Broncos scoring twice, while the Wildcats scored three times. Wiese ran it in from a yard out and also caught a touchdown pass from Nathan Hiett. The Broncos made one of the two extra points.
    The Wildcats scored with two rushing touchdowns and one through the air. They also converted on all three two point conversions to lead the game 20-44 at the half.
    Wallace added two more rushing touchdowns in the third with successful two point conversions, to finish out the scoring at 20-60.
    The Broncos had 33 yards passing and 178 on the ground to Wallace’s 50 passing and 280 rushing. The Broncos also had two lost fumbles.
    The Broncos (4-3) will welcome Medicine Valley (2-5), Friday night for the final regular season game. It will also be parents night for the seniors. Game time is set for 6:00 MT.
