BRAN route starts in Chadron this summer

CCS seniors will be vying for $3,000 in BRAN scholarships

After hosting the first overnight stop for Bicycle Ride Across Nebraska (BRAN) cyclists last summer, this year’s BRAN will give cyclists new options as they ride across the state.
Participants have the option to ride on the Cowboy Trail or on paved highway shoulders through the Sand Hills for a portion of the route.
The route starts in Chadron June 2, ending in Fremont  June 8.
BRAN cyclists this June will make overnight stops in Gordon, Cody, Ainsworth, Atkinson, Neligh and Clarkson.
Because Imperial hosted an overnight stop in 2018, last year’s local BRAN Committee Chairman Chris Lee said they will receive $3,000 in BRAN scholarships funds to present to successful applicants in the 2019 graduating class from Chase County Schools.
