Boys split games this week

    The CCS boys basketball team, traveled to Holyoke on Thursday to play the Holyoke Dragons. The boys started strong and the Dragons could never catch up.
    The boys took a six point lead after the first quarter and expanded it to 16 by the half. In the second half, the Longhorns just played to maintain the lead and won a one sided game, 61-44.
    Zak Anderson led the scoring with 24 and Noah Rau scored in double figures with 16.

    Saturday the boys hosted the Hershey Panthers. The Longhorns got out to a seven point lead at the end of one, but the Panthers cut the lead to just four at halftime, 26-22.
    The Panthers came out in the second half, looking like they made the right adjustments, taking the lead by three at the end of the third quarter.
    The Horns couldn’t get the momentum back and fell to the Panthers, 43-46, dropping their record to 8-10 with five games left on the schedule.
