Area teams come home from state empty-handed

Four area teams made the trip to Lincoln last week for the high school boys’ state basketball tournament.
They all came back without  titles, however.
In Class D1, No. 6 Wauneta-Palisade lost in the first round to No. 3 Paxton.
In Class C1, top-seeded Ogallala made it to the second round after beating No. 8 Milford.
The undefeated Indians then lost to No. 4 North Bend Central, but played No. 2 Wahoo in the consolation round.
