Alliance Bulldogs too much for Longhorns

Take away some key penalties and miscues and Friday’s football game with the Alliance Bulldogs might have gone a different way.
Nonetheless, the Longhorns came out on the short end, falling to the Bulldogs 28-0.
Alliance took advantage of the Longhorns’ mistakes, scoring all of the touchdowns in the first half.
Despite being down by 28, Coach Dan Lenners said his kids continued to play hard in the second half, holding Alliance scoreless.
However the Longhorns couldn’t break the goal line themselves.
After the game, Lenners said he and his players agreed Alliance is the best team they’ve faced this year.
Not only were they bigger and faster on the line, their junior running back and quarterback and senior receiver proved impressive as well.
“They’re a good football team,” Lenners said.
Alliance capitalizes early
The Longhorns found themselves down early. After going three-and-out to open the game, an 11-yard punt gave the Bulldogs the ball at the Longhorn 33.
They needed just six plays to get into the end zone less than four minutes into the game.
