Allen, Wallin qualify for All-American Cheer

Ten of the 14 cheerleaders at Chase County Schools attended a two-day Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) camp last week.
During camp, participants improved stunting skills, learned new dances and crowd-leading cheers and participated in team-building activities.
Participants also had the opportunity to try out for UCA’s annual All-American Cheer.
Two CCS cheerleaders were chosen, including sophomore Matalie Wallin and senior Sydnie Allen.
Last year, two CCS cheerleaders, Wallin and Jordan Jablonski, were able to attend the Citrus Bowl, where they participated in the pre-game performance.
CCS cheerleading coach Amanda Kimble said she hasn’t heard where Wallin and Allen will be performing at this year.
