Al Zuege honored for service by SPVA

Retired Chase County Schools teacher and coach Al Zuege, right, was honored at the SPVA basketball tournament for his 27 years of service to the SPVA conference from 1987 through 2014. Zuege coached girls’ basketball from 1987 through 2002 and coached girls track during his 27-year tenure. He still assists with the girls’ track program and the junior high track program. He began his teaching and coaching career in 1967 at Kearney Catholic. He had stops in North Loup Scotia and Revere, Colo. before joining CCS in 1987.
