Volunteers crucial to health checks
School Nurse Angie Paisley said 36 volunteers helped screen 578 students in grades 1-2 in two days last week. The annual screenings were done for hearing, vision, blood pressure/pulse, oral/dental and height/weight/body mass index. Imperial Lions Club members and the Lions Foundation’s Mobile Screening Unit conducted the vision and hearing screenings, as local medical professionals, staff from Imperial Family Dental and individuals did the rest.
