Two Longhorns place at SPVA speech meet

CCS sophomore Tegan Towns gave another medal-worthy speech performance, this time at the SPVA Conference meet.
Monday in Kimball, Towns and senior Karsen Klooz both competed in poetry.
The pair were speech coach Alex Schilke’s only contestants for the meet, but they both made it to the finals.
Towns placed fourth overall and Klooz placed fifth.
“I was extremely pleased,” Schilke said.
“Both of these speakers have put many hours into practicing and refining their performances,” she said.
