Three students recognized at district one-act contest

    Chase County Schools’ one-act play placed sixth at districts on Tuesday at Bridgeport with their rendition of “Law & Order: Fairy Tale Unit.”
    Hershey placed first and will be heading to the state competition in Norfolk.
    Other schools at the C1-6 competition included Kimball, Hemingford, Ainsworth, Valentine, Bridgeport and Bayard.
    “We had 12 kids last year and almost 30 this year,” Director Shasta Hilker said. “They’ve done really good this year and I’m proud.”
