Students adjust to abbreviated homecoming

It was another time for adjustments Friday when homecoming at Chase County Schools was forced to make some changes due to COVID-19 concerns. A.D. Troy Hauxwell said Hershey opted not to come to the homecoming football game, so the school moved the coronation outdoors to an afternoon pep rally, along with some candidate competitions. The dance was also held outdoors Friday. Above, members of the CCS homecoming court included, from left, Chase Rowley, Kora Weiss, king Cedric Maxwell, queen Hope Brosius, Mason Nordhausen and Morayah Cupp. Kindergarten attendants were Henry Chrisman and Mercedes Sorensen. Joee Clevenger and Bryn McNair participated in Red Carpet Day during the week’s dress-up days.
